Kaili Jacobson

Kaili Jacobson, 35, of Fargo, formerly of Wildrose, ND, passed away at her home in Fargo on Wednesday morning, November 6, 2013.Kaili Rae Jacobson was born September 26, 1978 to John and Susan (Larson) Jacobson. She spent her childhood in Wildrose where she attended Wildrose Public School. Kaili was baptized and confirmed at Grace Lutheran Church in Wildrose.She graduated from Wildrose/Alamo Public School in May of 1997. While in high school she played volleyball, ran track, participated in drama, band, choir and many other activities. Her church life was also important as she participated in Luther League, taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School, and attended Upper Missouri Ministries Bible Camp. Her school friends knew her as being loving, supportive, and full of laughter.After high school she attended the University of Mary, earning her degree in nursing. After graduation in 2001, she worked as a labor and delivery nurse at St. Alexis Hospital in Bismarck. While living in Bismarck, Kaili's circle of friends grew as she formed many lifelong friendships.Kaili moved to Fargo, ND in 2003 where she began working at MeritCare, now Sanford Health. She initially worked as a dialysis nurse. In 2005, she pursued her master's degree in nursing through the University of North Dakota. After receiving her master's degree in 2007, she began working at Roger Maris Cancer Center as a Nurse Practitioner. For the past four years, she worked at the Endocrinology Clinic and Diabetes Center at Sanford. While there, she developed the Embrace Thyroid Cancer Survivorship program, tying her expertise in the field of cancer medicine with her endocrinology clinic experience.Kaili's coworkers describe her as a true champion for her patients. She had a special place in her heart for treating pregnant women with diabetes. She inspired all those around her to do their best, acting as both coach and cheerleader for her patients and coworkers.Throughout her life, Kaili's circle of friends grew through many avenues. Kaili enjoyed traveling, golfing, planning parties and special gatherings with her friends, gardening, decorating, and a variety of crafts. Kaili was known for her big smile, ready laugh, and twinkling brown eyes. She was always ready to help and support any friend in need. All who had the privilege of knowing her loved her. Although Kaili spent most of her adult life living in the city, her heart was always on the farm. She spent much time traveling back to Western North Dakota where she loved spending time with her family and friends in the Wildrose community.She had a recent passion for running and fitness. In the past two years she completed a number of half marathons. In May of 2013, Kaili checked off a top item on her bucket list when she crossed the finish line of the full marathon in Fargo.The love of Kaili's life, her niece, Ada, was born on October 19, 2010. She took immense pleasure in being an auntie and traveled home often in order to spend time with her favorite girl.Kaili is survived by her parents; sister, Courtney (Kory) Olson of Ray; niece and goddaughter, Ada Olson of Ray; grandparents, Selmer and Georgia Larson of Crosby; uncle and godfather, Steve Larson (Joanne Branson) of Minot; and uncle Kevin (Heather) Larson and her cousins, Tessa, Harley, and Josie of Alamo. Kaili is also survived by godson, Nicholas Bohl, of Minot, and godparents, Dennis and Karen Jacobson of Wildrose. She joins her grandparents, Raymond and Margaret Jacobson, and her dear friend, Joni Weyrauch, in heaven.Kaili's love of life and positive attitude will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
