I once had something special that money couldn’t buy
I had a best friend in high school who was more that just a friend but
Today I have to say goodbye but it’s really till we meet again.
If I was asked one question why everyone thought the world of her
I could give a million reasons and all of them would be true!
My heart aches and my sadness is profound
But I know it’s not even near what all of you must feel.
I know that she will meet you in your dreams, talk to you once more
To ease your pain because that’s just who she was.
And one day when we reach heaven she will be waiting with her smile
And we will all hear that wonderful heartwarming laugh again.
Don, Jeff & Teresa, Alyssa, Katie and Brian as well as the rest of the Baumgardner family my heart goes out to each and every one of you! I love you all and cherish each memory all of you have provided.
To Karen…..cause I know your reading this……find a bicycle built for 3 so instead of trying to ride by Marge without her seeing us we can just pick her up!! I love you Karen!

i was so sorry to hear about Karen. I just reconnected with her after many years at the GR Reunion last summer just after my husband Terry was diagnosed by the same dr. with a very similar diagnosis. We both lived very close to her family as teenagers. She told me at the reunion that she had already outlived the time she was given (which was the same as Terry) & had such a positive attitude that gave me such inspiration & hope. I couldn’t wait to go home to tell Terry about her. Although we lost Terry last Oct. I will never forget that inspiration & hope she enabled us to have for a while & helped make us realize we needed to live life to the fullest while we could. We were able to do a few things with Terry last summer making some wonderful memories & Knowing her I’m sure her family was too! Unfortunately I will be out of town the weekend of her service or I would definitely be there. She was always full of sunshine. My thoughts & prayers!
