In Loving Memory Of Kathryn Floyd Hillsboro, North Dakota March 8, 1907 - January 3, 2008 Kathryn O. (Berdahl-Talmo) Floyd, loving and faithful child of God, went to her heavenly home on January 3, 2008. Kathryn, second daughter of six children born to Carl and Anna Maria (Sandvig) Berdahl, was born in the shadow of Highland Lutheran Church, March 8, 1907. She moved to Hillsboro, with her sister, Adeline. Where she meet William Talmo and was united in marriage at Moorhead, MN on September 4, 1925. Kathryn and Bill made their home in Hillsboro and had a daughter on April 16, 1930, Elizabeth Marie (Betty) who was the apple of their eye. William died January 12, 1969. Kathryn married Gilbert Floyd in Hillsboro, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church on September 15, 1971. They made their home in Opheim, MT, until his death in 1974. Kathryn was a devoted Mother and Grandmother, as Betty blessed them with three grandchildren. She was confirmed in the Christian faith at Our Savior's Lutheran in Hillsboro, where she taught Sunday School and was active in WELCA (Ladies' Aid) and Circle. She made quilt s, greeting cards and crafts for different organizations. Kathryn was a charter member of Hillsboro Senior Citizens and served as president. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. Remembering her with love and gratitude are her granddaughter, Debbie (Steve) Kroger of Piedmont, SD; grandsons, Brad (Jode) Sorum; Greg Sorum; great-grandchildren Lisa (Doug), Scott (Julie) and Jen Kroger, Tim Sorum, Brian (Amber) and Blake (Marie) Sorum, great-great grandchildren Cody, Dylan and Lola; sister-in-law, Sue Berdahl, Orlando, FL. Kathryn also had some very special grandchildren, that meant so very much to her, including Missy, Bailey, Emily, Hanna and Max. God Bless her memory until we meet again. Funeral 11:00 a.m. Monday, Our Savior?s Lutheran Church, Hillsboro Prayer Service 7:00 p.m. Sunday Hillsboro Nursing Home Visitation 6:00 to 7:00 Sunday in the Nursing Home and one hour before the Funeral in the church.
