Kathryn Campbell, 93, Fargo, died November 2, 2004 at Elim Nursing Home in Fargo. The funeral will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. in Sts. Anne & Joachim Catholic Church, Fargo, ND. Visitation will be Thursday in the church from 4:30 p.m. ? 5:30 p.m. with a prayer service at 5:30 p.m. A rosary will be recited by the Catholic Daughters beginning at 5:00 p.m. Thursday in the church. There will be a graveside service Friday at 1:30 p.m. at St. James Cemetery in Page, ND. Kathryn (Kit) was born on July 15th, 1911 in Page, North Dakota, to Mary Ellen and William Leo Campbell. After 4 years they moved to Pillsbury, ND where she attended Ellsbury School. When she finished school she and her sister Charlotte attended Wahpeton Science School at Wahpeton, ND. After 2 years of both taking bookkeeping they came home. Charlotte went to Fargo and Kit stayed at home to help her mother. Her dad had a Hardware Store and Implement Shop and a Bulk Standard Oil Station in Pillsbury. Her brother Frank ran the Post Office in the Hardware Store. Later her mother had a stroke and Kit took care of her for 3 years. After her mother (Mary Ellen) died, her dad sold the store and filling station and he came to live with his daughters Kit and Grace (Oscar) Edstrom. Another son, Irvin came to live there with them as well. Kit and Grace took care of their brother and father until they died. Then Kit stayed on with Grace and Oscar, and worked as a bookkeeper at Quality Bakery in Fargo for 25 years. After she retired she liked to go to dances and go to the lake with Grace and Oscar. She liked to bake and sew and was a good cook. She was also a member of the Catholic Daughters of America. She is survived by her sister, Grace Edstrom of Fargo; niece, Kay (Jerry) Millhon of Langley, WA; and nephew, Jerry (Gayle) Keyes, Orange, CA. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary Ellen (Cavanaugh) Campbell and William Leo Campbell; her sister, Alice Rutherford; brother, Francis Patrick Campbell; brother, James Irvin Campbell; sister, Mary Elizabeth Keyes; sister, Agnes Louise Harris; and sister, Charlotte Ann Ferguson. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Sts. Anne & Joachim Catholic Church, 5202 25th Street South, Fargo, ND 58104. Arrangements by Boulger Funeral Home, Fargo.
