Kenneth J. Brown Kenny Brown left this earth to be with Jesus in the Lord's Garden on Friday, August 1st at the age of 72. Kenny died peacefully after a long battle with cancer under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley and surrounded by his loving family. Kenny was born at home in Bismarck, ND on November 17, 1935 to his parents John Valentine and Phyllis Brown. He attended St. Mary's school in Bismarck and joined the Navy in 1954 where he earned his High School diploma. Kenny served as Fire Control Technician on the carrier ship USS Ticonderoga. After traveling all over the world while in the Navy until his honorable discharge in 1957, he returned to live in Fargo, ND and began working at Western Auto Parts in counter sales where he met his wife, Rennay. Kenny and Rennay were married on September 30, 1960 and had two children, Teresa and Gregory. Kenny also worked at Berg Bismarck Motor Supply and for United Electric in Fargo and transferred to United Power and Equipment until his retirement in 1996. Always keeping busy, Kenny would run errands for neighbors and friends and soon began delivering food to surrounding areas for Food Services of America. Kenny's wonderful sense of humor touched many, many people. He would always have a joke for whomever he met. Kenny was generous and thoughtful with his friends and neighbors, there wasn't anything he wouldn't do for them. Kenny enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling, and spending time at the lakes. His greatest love was his grandchildren. Kenny will be greatly missed by his family including his wife Rennay; daughter Terry (Tim) Krile; grandchildren Bart and Ronnie Krile; sisters Phyllis Drashil of Walhalla, ND and Sharon Nordman of Fargo; and brother Clyde Brown of Fargo. He is also survived by many nephews, nieces, cousins, and in-laws. Kenny was preceded in death by his parents John and Phyllis, his son Gregory, his brothers Ronald, George, and Ralph, and his sister Kathleen. Visitation: Monday, August 4 from 5 to 7 PM followed by a prayer service at 7 PM at Boulger Funeral Home in Fargo. Funeral Services: Tuesday, August 5 at 1 PM at Church of the Holy Spirit in Fargo. Visitation from Noon to 1 PM prior to funeral. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
