Kenneth Lilleberg, 96, of Cummings, ND passed away on February 6, 2007 at MeritCare Hospital, Fargo, ND. Kenneth Orien Lilleberg was born July 12, 1910 to Marcus and Inga (Hegg) Lilleberg in a farmhouse near Cummings, ND. At the age of four, his family moved to a new nearby farmstead which would be Kenneth?s home for the next eighty-four years. Kenneth married Constance Estella Fenney on May 28, 1944 at the Beaver Creek Lutheran Church in rural Taylor, Wisconsin. They farmed near Cummings until his retirement in 1972. Kenneth moved to the Kiwanis Apartments in Hillsboro, ND in 1998 after the death of his wife. Kenneth was a renowned woodworker, best known for building grandfather clocks. He also built wall clocks, desks, chairs, cabinets, and various other items. Examples of his craftsmanship can be found throughout the Midwest. Kenneth was a lifelong member of Highland Lutheran Church, rural Cummings, ND. He is survived by his son, Herbert of Cummings, ND; his brother, Vernon (Edith) of Grand Forks, ND (Vernon passed away on February 7, 2007); and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Constance; his sisters, Helen and Mildred (Mrs. Hjalmer) Braaten; and his brothers, Harvey and Irvin. There will be a prayer service at 8 p.m. on Thursday, March 8, 2007 at Wildeman Funeral Home, Hillsboro, ND. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, March 9, 2007 at Highland Lutheran Church near Cummings, ND.
