Landon Stack

Landon Milloy Stack, 9, passed away peacefully and was set free on September 9, 2015. Landon Milloy was born on July 16, 2006, in Devils Lake, ND. From the moment he came into this world, Landon had a personality that was bigger than life. He made an instant friend in anyone he met with his ear-to-ear smile that melted our hearts and lit up our lives. Landon loved Toy Story, Wizard of Oz, Mary Poppins and The Backyardigans. He also loved to eat-especially cookies, being outside, meeting new people and spending time with the people who loved him the most, especially his little brothers who were his pride and joy and very best friends. Landon was a student at The Anne Carlsen Center in Jamestown, ND and absolutely loved his friends and staff there as his second family. Landon courageously battled Sanfilippo Syndrome, but he never let that take away his happiness, his zest for life, or his beautiful smile. He taught so many people how to live a life of happiness, joy and love despite it all. We are forever changed and grateful for his presence in our lives. Though our hearts are broken, our precious boy is finally free, and we will forever share his amazing life and hold his memories in our hearts. Landon will be forever loved and missed by his parents, Ashley Riggs and Jordan Froehlich, and Shawn Stack and special friend, Brooke Rohn, brothers Blake and Gabriel, grandparents Mark and Becky Riggs, Cheryl Stack, and Jan and Wes Froehlich, great-grandparents Irene Sivertson, Jim and Kay Riggs, Mae Soper, and Jacqueline Froehlich, aunts and uncles Brooke Riggs, Calvin Riggs, Tanya Stack, Wesley Froehlich (Sarah Kale), Brei and Michael Davis and Amber and Todd Szczpanski, Godparents and special grandparents Dale and Marilyn Bergsrud, and many great aunts and uncles and cousins, and his second family at The Anne Carlsen Center. Landon was lovingly welcomed into eternity by his great grandpa and namesake Ernie Milloy Sivertson, great grandpa Byron Soper and grandpa Doug Stack. Family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the MPS Society, Team Sanfilippo or The Anne Carlsen Center in memory of Landon. There will be a Memorial Service at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Boulger Funeral Home and Celebration of Life Center.

  31. I am thinking of you Ashley. I was Landon’s speech pathologist from Essentia who came to your home to play with Landon. I often think of you and Landon. I so enjoyed working with Landon!!! He was the sunshine and his smile would light up the room. I can’t believe he is 9 years old!! Time goes so fast. I just wanted to say I am thinking of you and thank you so much for sharing Landon with me!!! Celebrate his life and all the gifts he brought with him!!!
    Denelle Dauner, Speech Language Pathologist.

  32. I am a friend of Landon’s grandfather, Mark, through the basketball officiating world. Please know that your family is being prayed for today and in the days to come. I have no idea what you all are dealing with, but I do know a God that is sufficient to meet your needs. Encouragement from Philippians 4:6-7 for you…
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

    Debbie

  33. Landon, hello my little friend. I was so lost when I hear about your passing. I enjoyed taking care of you at the Anne Carlson center. When I proved to everyone one that you loved to use your hands to paint or when we ran up and down the halls screaming “Yep Yep” just like they do in Backyardagains. You are so missed little guy! Heaven really gained an Angel when you returned to them.
