LaRae's service will be livestreamed 2:00 PM Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at her site. https://vimeo.com/event/520896 LaRae Irene Lindgren, 56, passed away after a courageous fight due to complications with Covid-19, November 26, 2020 surrounded by family at Sanford Medical Center, Fargo. LaRae was welcomed to the family of Harold and Violet Lindgren on June 1, 1964. She was the youngest of 4 children, born to Violet and Harold. She was often described as growing up with nieces and nephews of her age as some of her fondest memories. Her face lit up talking about the closeness they had. LaRae grew up and attended Fargo South High School. She later went on to get her Diploma in 1989. LaRae called many places home throughout the years: California, Texas, Iowa, Tennessee, and Minnesota but she always “came home”. She worked various jobs throughout her life, but some of her favorites where she always felt she belonged were: Mental Health Association, Rape and Abuse Crisis Center, Churches United, and recently taking care of her grandchildren and GG’s grandchildren. LaRae loved to travel, garden, try new foods, old country music, and she was the most notorious bargain shopper. “Savers” will miss her. Mom had the most contagious laugh. She found humor in every situation. She was the most outgoing, friendly person and could spark a conversation with even a stranger. She considered everyone “her friend”. Above all, LaRae loved her family, children, grandchildren, and 4 chihuahuas! She cherished them and never missed a birthday event if she could help it. We knew we could count on her coming with pride in the crowd and was always our greatest cheerleader. LaRae exhibited this love most recently in the last 2 years as she fought her hardest battle. She had been on the waiting list for multiple organ transplants. She showed so much strength and perseverance, and never lost her witty humor through it all. We are so thankful for the additional time we got, even on the toughest days. LaRae is survived by her children, Anna Lindgren of Fargo, Crystal (Adam) Walker of Frazee, MN, Michel Lindgren of Austin, TX, Jessica Lindgren of Fargo; grandchildren, Destiny, Aaliyah, Taylor, Greyson, Skylar, Ashton; sister, Karen (Fernando) Ochoa; brother in law, Juan Hernandez; her four fur babies, Milo, Max, Marley and Mario; and many nieces and nephews. LaRae is preceded by her parents; sister, Judy Hernandez; and brother, Harold Jr. Lindgren.

  2. ♥️LaRae💔 There’s no one that could ever know what you meant and will always mean to me or what we’ve been through together. Only you and I. You left me here way too soon. You’re will to live was so strong that I kept thinking you were going to fool the doctors and get well enough to receive your transplants. I miss you so much already listening to your future plans for life because you never gave up, and especially how we should get the stuff for enchiladas and make them over at my mom and dads. Just know I’ll never ever forget! Save a place for me and I’ll see you later! I LOVE YOU BUT YOU ALREADY KNOW THAT!♥️🥺 BEHAVE!

  3. Rest in peace my sweet friend. You are gone way to soon. To my fellow 1st Avenue hood rat, you will be missed

  4. My heart aches for your family. You are now totally free from the pain, you were a fighter, and did enjoy life. I will always remember walking down main avenue to Kings Food Host (for those great cheese frenchees) , seeing if we could get the semis to honk! and eating rhubarb in your back yard, me with sugar, you with salt. The many sleep overs and great nights at skateland. till we meet again, my friend.

  5. Words can’t describe how much I love and miss you beautiful, come visit me on Earth sometime. You took some of the beauty with you when you left. Love, your LoveBugger 🤍

  7. Fly high my friend, I will never forget your laughter, your wild spirit and kind heart. Our long conversations of when our kids where younger, then came the grand kids. When ever we did go on our short but fun thrift store shopping and eating out adventures they where always filled with laughter and some real talk! After our kids grew up and life took us different directions we still stayed in touch and our phone conversations where long, full of laughter and memories, down to earth real talk. I smile till this day when you stood there with your hand on your hip and had a serious look and said “we have an understanding when it comes to these boys” hahaahahah I will never forget that understanding and only you and I need to know you said! lady that I will always remember and never gave up our “understanding” I will forever hold to that, I promise! so many good memories!
You where a strong minded, independent friend of mine that took no crap from anyone and you spoke your mind! With all my heart I will miss you but will never forget you.R.I.P
