Larry Alexander Kind passed away Wednesday, November 29, 2006 at MeritCare Hospital in Fargo.
Larry was born on June 26, 1947, in Fargo, ND to Carlton and Myrtle (Johnson) Kind. He was the youngest of 5 children.
Larry?s education included graduating from Moorhead High School in 1965. After high school Larry attended Moorhead State University for a short time. Following school he entered into the United States Navy. Larry served in the Navy from 1968 to 1972, spending most of his time in Vietnam.
Once returning home Larry met Marlys ?Marcy? Westphal. The couple was married in July of 1976. Larry and Marcy started their family in the fall of 1981 with the birth of their only child, Troy.
During Larry?s lifetime he had spent 28 years as an Overhead Sprinkler Fitter traveling throughout Minnesota, North Dakota, and South Dakota until his retirement in the winter of 2005.
Larry had one main hobby, WMSTR (Rollag, MN). Larry spent countless hours there starting in about 1957. He love working with Steam Engines, which was a lot of hands on back breaking entertainment, NOT WORK.
Larry is survived by his wife and love of his life, Marlys of Dilworth; his son, Troy (fiance? Brittany LaPash) of Moorhead; his mother, Myrtle Kind of Moorhead. He also leaves behind his brother, Clayton (Janice) Kind of Vancouver, WA; his sister Janice (Les) Engen of Fargo; his brother, LeRoy (Patti) Kind of Marysville, WA; and his sister, Phyliss Melby of Monett, MO; and also many nieces and nephews.
VISITATION: 5-7 PM Sunday at Boulger Funeral Home in Fargo ? and also one hour prior to the funeral in the church on Monday
PRAYER SERVICE: 7 PM Sunday at Boulger Funeral Home
FUNERAL SERVICE: 11 AM Monday, December 4, 2006 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Moorhead, MN (210 South 7th Street)
BURIAL: Sunset Memorial Gardens in Fargo
