Laurel June Herzog Davidson, 66, passed away on September 7, 2020, after a long battle with cancer. Laurel was born in Hankinson, ND on January 27, 1954, to Donald and June Herzog. She graduated from Enderlin High School in 1972. Laurel married Steve Davidson and together they had two children, Chris and Barry. She made her career in the banking industry, working at Peoples and Enderlin State Bank, American Federal Bank, Bell Bank, and Bill Spiry Properties. Laurel inherited her best characteristics from her parents: from June, a kind and caring heart with the power to see the good in everyone and everything. From Don, common sense, dependability, and her abiding ability to give sound advice. She will be remembered for her love of and commitment to her children and grandchildren, whose lives, activities, and well-being she took great interest in. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Don and June Herzog. She is survived by her son Chris (Lori Lillejord/Ewald) and their children Kiley Davidson, Hailee and Hannah Ewald of Fargo, ND; her son Barry (Nicole) and their children Kaden and Kaia Davidson of Fargo, ND; her siblings Mary Geeslin (Doug) of Hawley, MN; Dave Herzog (Barb) of Key West, FL/Detroit Lakes, MN; Tana Sly (Steve) of Lake Park, MN; and Dianne Schmitz (Scott) of Dent, MN. Due to COVID, there will be a private service. It will be streamed for the public on her page on Boulger Funeral Home’s website starting at 9:45 AM on Thursday, September 10, 2020.

  19. Mary, Dave, Tana, Deed and Davidson family,

As a high school senior, Laurel was kind to me, a freshman, and we all know that wasn’t easy. In college, I had the opportunity to work with Laurel at Peoples, when I was an intern. She was patient and helpful as I learned, but more importantly, she was a joy to be around every day. I’m grateful for the time I spent with her, and very sorry for your loss.

  20. I am so sorry to learn of Laurel’s passing. My heart goes out to your family in this time of deep sadness. I pray for healing and strength during this time and send love to help you get through your loss. Lori (Dehn)
