On March 14, 1975, Laurel married Richard "Dick" Watson at Peace Lutheran Church in Fargo. They made their home in Harwood. They were blessed with one daughter, Samantha, who was the light of Laurel's life, her pride and joy, and her very best friend. Over the years, Laurel was employed in various secretarial positions at several businesses in Fargo. She worked for Pioneer Mutual Life Insurance Company for 19 years as a graphic artist, support services coordinator, and new business specialist. Following her retirement, she worked for a short time as a paraprofessional at Eastwood Elementary School. Those who were blessed to know Laurel were witnesses to her incredible strength and tireless work ethic. She had an immense love for her family, and her greatest moments were spent with them.
