Lela W. (Gullickson) Dluzen, 70, of Fargo, North Dakota went to be with the Lord on March 6, 2015. After a two year battle with pancreatic cancer she passed away at Elim Care Center in Fargo, ND surrounded by her family. Lela was born November 14, 1944 in Minot, North Dakota to Arthur and Georgina Gullickson of Underwood, ND. She attended grade school in Washburn, ND graduating from Minot High School in 1962. She later continued her education by earning a bachelor’s degree from Minot State College in 1970. She married Wayne Dluzen, an Air Force serviceman that same year. As a part of military life, the couple lived in California, Montana and Germany. During these years they had two daughters. After Wayne’s retirement from the Air Force in 1980, the family lived near Chicago, IL and eventually settled in Jamestown, ND. Over the years, Lela worked numerous office jobs. During 2007, she retired from the Mckenzie & Reisnour Law Firm in Jamestown, ND where she worked as a legal secretary. During 2007, after the loss of her husband, Lela moved to Fargo. Lela enjoyed reading, doing puzzles, playing the piano and attending church. Her greatest joy in life was her family. Her sweet smile and kind heart will be greatly missed by all who loved her. She is survived by her daughters Wendy (Richard) Thompson, Monticello, MN, and Trina (Cameron) Bercier, Hawley, MN; four granddaughters, Savannah Smith, Hayley Bercier, Aubrey Bercier, Hawley, MN, Georganna Thompson, Monticello, MN; and one grandson, Nicholas Thompson, Monticello, MN; Brother Allan (Susan) Gullickson, Sioux Falls, SD, sister Carolyn (Marlow) Bakken, Duluth, MN, brother-in- laws Wayne Bauer, Fargo, ND, Terry (Mary) Dluzen, Chandler, AZ. Lela was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Georgine Gullickson, husband Wayne Dluzen, sister Annette Bauer and nephew William Gullickson.
