Leona M. Kozojed

Leona passed away on Wednesday, May 2, 2007 at the Hillsboro Medical Center Nursing Home at the age of 78. Leona was born on October 4, 1928 near Cummings, ND, the daughter of John and Elsie (Jandl) Kozojed. She grew up on the family farm and lived there with her family until moving into Hillsboro in 1971. Leona and her sisters lived in Hillsboro until Leona and Carol moved into the nursing home in 1999. She loved her time at the nursing home and greatly appreciated being around other people and visiting. Leona is survived by her sister, Carol Kozojed of Hillsboro; her sister-in-law, Pat Kozojed of Cummings, ND; her nieces, Denise Kozojed (Alex) Plechash of Wayzata, MN; and Lisa (Matt) Clifford of Eden Prairie, MN; and her great nephew, Austin Clifford. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Jim in 1995; and her sister, Gladys in 1974.
