Obituary

Lillian I. Fallett, 99, Moorhead, Minnesota died Sunday, July 28, 2013 at Eventide Heritage Village.  Lillian was born on December 20 1913, Erskine, Minnesota the daughter of Peter and Lisa Myhr.  She was baptized from Gosen Lutheran Church rural Erskine on February 1, 1914 and confirmed at Grace Lutheran Church of Erskine on July 8, 1928.  She attended Schools in Erskine graduating on June 3, 1932.

Lillian married Lyle Fallett on February 4, 1939 in Moorhead, Minnesota.  They owned and operated “The Waffle Shop” in downtown Moorhead for 23 years from 1946 to 1969.  She then worked at St. Luke’s Hospital as a telephone operator until retiring in 1979.

She is survived by her foster brother, Bert Peterson and his wife Donna, of Spokane, Washington, 2 nephews, 3 nieces, 4 grandnieces, and 3 great grand nephews all in the state of Washington.  She was preceded in death by her husband Lyle on March 22, 1987.

    I had the privilege of caring for Lillian at Eventide she was one heck of a lady, I just loved taking care of her. She was classy and a little sassy…her smile could light up a room my condolences to the family and a big thank you for sharing her with us.

    My sincere condolences in the loss of Lillian. Lillian and I worked together at St. Lukes for several years. She always had a warm and friendly smile. Her attractive, always perfect, hairdo set her apart from the rest of the crew. I am sure she will be missed but let her memories live on.
