Lloyd "Whitey" Stigen

Lloyd “Whitey” Stigen, age 84, Hillsboro, ND died peacefully at home in the afternoon of January 15, 2016 with his loving family and wife of 61 years by his side. Lloyd was born Nov 24^th 1931 in Caledonia, ND. To Richard and Pearl Stigen. As a young man he worked on nearby farms until he joined the Marines during the Korean War and proudly served his country, he was very proud of being a Veteran. After returning from the war he married Monte Parr in Fertile, MN, on November 13^th 1954. They have six children, thirteen grand children and seven great grand children. Lloyd is preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Robert and Dean, and sister Janice. Lloyd is survived by his wife, Monte, his children, Lonnie, Jodi, Blaine (Cathy), Jeff (Wayne), Jackie and Zane (Brenda). His sisters; Shirley and Jean (Donavan) Wright, Betty, and brothers Zane and Darrell, along with special sister-in-law Janet Ricard and nephew Dale “Rick” Nelson. Also numerous nieces and nephews. Arrangements are being handled by Wildeman Funeral Home, Hillsboro. Internment will be at the Caledonia Cemetery at a later date.
