Obituary

Lois N. Nelson, 87, of Fargo, ND passed away on Wednesday October 22, 2014 at Manor Care Health Services under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley. 

 

Lois was born on March 23, 1927 in Detroit Lakes, MN, the second of ten children, to Raymond and Hazel (Hancock) Cusey.  She was united in marriage to Palmer Ingvold Nelson on October 20, 1947 in Fargo, ND.

 

Lois is survived by son Steven (Peggy) Nelson, Coralville, IA; daughters Nadine (Keith) Torgerson, Wahpeton, ND; Kathleen Nelson, Fargo, ND; Marilyn (Tim) Magnusson, Moorhead, MN; Laurie (Mike) Johnson, Maple Grove, MN; sisters, Althea Thiessen, Phyllis Schmidt; brothers, Rodney (Mary) Cusey, Herbert (Becky) Cusey, Ralph Cusey, Howard Cusey, Darrel Cusey, William Cusey; grandchildren, James (Sara) Nelson, Jennifer Nelson, Kristy (Adam) Anderson, Kelly (Dyan Hoffman) Torgerson, Brandon Nelson, Michael Magnusson, Matthew (Victoria) Magnusson, Ryan Magnusson, Andrew Johnson, Alissa Johnson; and great-grandchildren, Katherine Nelson, Grace Nelson, Elijah and Elizabeth Anderson, Lilija Magnusson, Soren Magnusson.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and her sister Jean.

 

Memorials preferred to Hospice of the Red River Valley.
