The Funeral Service for Lorraine Arnegard will be held 10:30 Saturday, June 14, 2003, at Hillsboro United Parish UCC-UMC. Visitation will be on Friday from 4 - 7 PM at Wildeman Funeral Home in Hillsboro and also one hour prior to the funeral in the church on Saturday. Burial will be held in the Arnegard Cemetery near Hillsboro. Lorraine died on Wednesday, June 11, 2003, at the Hillsboro Medical Center Hospital at the age of 92. Lorraine Wilson was born on March 21, 1911, near Hillsboro, North Dakota, the daughter of Andrew and Sina (Leiren) Wilson. She grew up near Hillsboro and attended school, graduating from Hillsboro High School. She then attended nurses? training in Fargo. Lorraine was united in marriage to Lloyd Arnegard on March 21, 1933. Together they made their home near Hillsboro where they farmed for many years. Lorraine worked as a nurse for over 20 years at the Hillsboro Hospital and later at the Hillsboro nursing home before her retirement. Lloyd passed away on May 26, 1979. She moved to Fargo in 1992, where she has lived since that time. Lorraine will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend, to all of her family and neighbors. She loved to spend her time tending to her gardens, her flowers, and reading her books. Surviving are her daughters, Shirley (Sy) Phillippi of White Bear Lake, MN; Beverly "Bee" (Ralph) Meyer of Hillsboro, ND; and Barbara (Robert) Trieglaff of Fargo, ND; 7 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; her sisters, Eleanor Willison and Harriett Letnes, both of Hillsboro, ND; and Vivian (Joe) Quail of Orland, CA; and several nieces and nephews. Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her brothers, Elsworth, Arnold, and Duane; and her sister, Margie Thoney. (Wildeman Funeral Home, Hillsboro)
