Lorraine Brunette

Lorraine Brunette, 84, Fargo, ND died Saturday, May 12, 2007 at MeritCare Hospital, Fargo, ND Lorraine Cossette was born March 29, 1923 at Wild Rice, ND. She grew up on a farm near there and attended school at St. Benedict?s in Wild Rice. She lived on the family farm until her marriage to Clement Brunette on June 9,1947 at St. Benedict?s Catholic Church. The couple made their home in Fargo. Lorraine stayed at home to raise her family. She began working as a custodian at Ben Franklin Jr. High School in Fargo in 1967 where she worked until her retirement in 1985. Her favorite past times were working on needle point projects and spending the summers on Long Lake with her family. Lorraine had been a resident of Bethany Homes, Fargo for the past six months. Her husband, Clement died in 2006. She is survived by her children: Derald Brunette (Pamala) Fargo, ND, Kathleen Shiels (Stephen) Fargo, ND, Terry Brunette (Diana) Moorhead, MN; four grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. Three sisters, Irene (Rene) LaPointe, Winnipeg, Canada, Hazel Brunette, and Janet Gehrig, and a brother, Julian Cossette, all of Fargo. She was preceded in death by her husband and two brothers, Daniel Cossette and Robert Cossette. Visitation will be from 5-7 pm on Monday at St. Anthony?s Catholic Church, Fargo with a prayer service at 7pm. There will also be visitation one hour before the funeral service on Tuesday at the Church. The funeral will be held on Tuesday, at 1:00 pm at St. Anthony?s Catholic Church, Fargo, ND.
