Lorraine M. Norton

Lorraine M. Norton, 61, Norfolk, Nebraska, formerly of Kindred, North Dakota died August 1, 2005, at Faith Regional Health Services West Campus, Norfolk, Nebraska. Lorraine was born on March 23, 1944 at Ipswich, South Dakota the daughter of Milbert and Ida (Martz) Brunmaier. She graduated from Aberdeen Central High School in 1962. She worked at the Virginia Caf? and then the Holiday Inn at Aberdeen. She married Robert G. Norton on April 2, 1966 at Aberdeen, South Dakota. The couple then moved to Kindred in April 1971 where she worked as a Kitchen Assistant for the Kindred High School. She then worked in the Elim Care Center in Fargo, North Dakota. She moved to Aberdeen in August 1995 where she worked for St. Luke=s Hospital and then the Manor Care. She moved to Bismarck, North Dakota in March 2001 and then to Norfolk in September 2002. She also was a foster parent to many children. She was a Boy Scout Den Mother and assisted with her daughter=s Girl Scout Troop. She is survived by three sons Robert and Teresa Norton, Jr. of Great Falls, Montana, Roger and Carla Norton of Fargo, North Dakota and Russell Norton, Jacksonville, FL; three daughters Victoria and Lee Friese of Bismarck, Raylee and Daniel Vosburg of Norfolk, and Tasha and Kyle Hoeltzner of Vermillion; one sister Mrs. Terry (Marcella) Stevens of Aberdeen; eleven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and numerous foster children. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1995 and her parents. Funeral services for Lorraine Mary Norton, 61, of Norfolk will be at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, August 6, 2005 at the Kindred Lutheran Church, Kindred, North Dakota. Burial will be at the Kindred Cemetery, Kindred, North Dakota. Visitation will be Friday from 5-7 p.m. with a prayer service at 7 p.m. at the Kindred Lutheran Church, Kindred, ND.
