Lucille Marie Bussiere Fargo, North Dakota Funeral Mass for Lucille M. Bussiere, 95, of Fargo will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 10, 2009 at St Mary’s Cathedral Fargo, ND with Father Chad Wilhelm Celebrating. Burial will follow in the family plot at Holy Cross Cemetery, Fargo, ND; Rosary will be led by Gordon Bartholomay at 1:30 p.m. Friday, July 10, 2009 at St. Mary’s Cathedral Fargo, ND. Lucille M. Bussiere, 95, Fargo, died February 25 at Elim Care Center, Fargo. She was born October 1, 1913, in St. Benedict, ND, the daughter of Pierre and Emma (Pronovost) Cossette. On February 6, 1934, Lucille married Antonio Bussiere. They made their home in Fargo and three children were born to them. The family moved to Vancouver, WA, in the early 40’s. Lucille and Tony both worked for Kaiser Shipyard, returning to Fargo in 1948. After 62 years of marriage, Tony died on February 22, 1996. Lucille mothered over 100 foster children, loving each one as her own. She raised three girls into adulthood and they have always been a part of the family. Lucille worked for St. Mary’s Cathedral for a number of years and had a very close relationship with the church and the clergy. Later she worked at NDSU in maintenance until retirement. Lucille belonged to St. Mary’s Guild, working funerals and weddings. She was very involved in making quilts for St. Mary’s bazaars. Lucille lived at the Heritage House for eight years before entering Elim Care Center. Lucille is survived by three children, Donald (Dorothy) Dickinson, Arlene Hamilton, East Taos, Michigan, Margaret (Bob) Hogan, Denver, Colorado and three foster children, Mary (Marty) Berg, Hutchinson, Minnesota, Theresa Giles, Lynnwood, Washington, Donna Norguay, Fargo, 15 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters, Laura Rheault, Fargo, Charlotte (George) Thom, Long Prairie, Minnesota and a brother, Clifford (Denise) Cossette, Fargo and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, grandsons Paul and Thomas, brothers Gaston, Maurice and Laurence and a sister, Hazel. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Boulger Funeral Home in Fargo.
