Magdelena "Meg" Jones

Magdelena Anastasia Jones, 84, of Fargo, ND died Tuesday Dec. 17, 2013 at Sanford Medical Center in Fargo.
Magdelena, or Meg, was born Aug. 14, 1929 in Karlsruhe, ND to Anton and Frances (Deschner) Dexheimer. She was the tenth out of twelve children. She attended primary school in Towner. She worked as an elevator operator in the historic downtown Black Building in the 1950s. Meg married Robert Jones on Sept. 29, 1962 in Wadena, MN. On October 9, 1963, Meg gave birth to their only child, Larry Jay Jones (Fargo). Meg spent her later years taking care of and doting over her three granddaughters.
Meg is preceded in death by her husband, Robert. Meg is survived by her son Larry (and Sherri Alberg of Park Rapids, MN), and her three grandchildren, Rachel, Nicole (and Todd Rettig), and Morgan (all of Fargo). She will be missed by her sister Cecilia Steenson, sister-in-law Ada Dexheimer, many nieces and nephews, and her good friends and neighbors.

I am so sorry to hear of Meg’s death. I was her neighbor for several years. She was very kind and looked out for me. Heaven gained an angel.
Meg will always be remembered as a wonderful, kind and generous person–and a terrific Godmother. Our thoughts and prayers are with all Meg’s family and friends.
