Margaret Gunderson, 84, 3060 33rd Street South, Fargo, formerly Hillsboro, North Dakota, died Saturday, March 1, 2003 at Meritcare Hospital in Fargo.
Margaret A. Gunderson was born to Robert and Mary (McLean) Stirling at Gardner, North Dakota on July 20, 1918. She attended school in Gardner and graduated from Gardner High School in 1936. She attended Moorhead State Teachers College from which she received her teaching certificate. She was a school teacher for 40 years and taught at Kelso, Argusville, and Hillsboro. Margaret A. Stirling and Martin Gunderson were married on June 4, 1958 in Shelly, Minnesota. She lived in Hillsboro until 2001 when she moved to Fargo to live with her sister, Dorothy Hildreth. Margaret enjoyed watching athletics, especially Bison men?s and women?s basketball. She also actively followed Hillsboro athletics.
