Marjorie Lorraine Malstrom was born June 29, 1924 in Fargo, ND to DeForest and Edna (Stenberg) Malstrom. She grew up in rural Mapleton and attended Minnesota State University for teaching. Marjorie was united in marriage to Robert E. Cockerill on October 21, 1944. To this union 4 children were born. Together they raised their family and farmed for over 40 years in the Davenport area. After retirement they moved to the Fargo area. Marjorie is survived by her daughters: Susan Ackerson, Aberdeen, SD; and Cheryl Best, Clitherall, MN; grandchildren: Natasha Best, Cassie Forster, Brin (Amy) Forster, John (Amy) Ackerson, Kim Ackerson, Darlene (Timothy) Lindsey, and Amy (Kevin) Hanson; her great-grandchildren: Bryton Forster, Nora Forster, Piper Forster, Evan Ackerson, Jacob Ackerson, Skylar Hanson, Tristan Hanson, Zachary Hanson, Drew Ackerson, Brandon Lindsey, Jordan Lindsey, Michael (Kate) Cockerill; great-great grandchildren: Norah and Adeline Cockerill. Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Robert in 2011; parents; her sons: Robert “Bobby” Cockerill Jr.; and Ricky Cockerill; grandchildren: Lyle Cockerill and Wray Cockerill; sisters: Charlotte, Vivian, and Donna. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM with a 7:00 Prayer Service on Sunday, November 8, at the Fredrikson-Bougler Funeral Chapel, in Kindred, ND. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, November 9, 2015 at Davenport Lutheran Church, Davenport, ND.
