Mark Eblen, age 57, of East Grand Forks, MN, formerly of Hillsboro, ND died January 24th at the Halstad Living Center under the care of Hospice.
Mark was born August 15th, 1957 to Wilbur and Irene Eblen and grew up on the family farm near Hillsboro, ND. He graduated from Hillsboro High School in 1976. In 1978, he married Marlene Boeddeker. They had 2 daughters and farmed together in the Hillsboro area for 25 years.
Mark enjoyed the many years he spent farming, playing cards, going to auction sales and was known for the mischievous twinkle in his eye. He shared a very close brotherly bond with his big brother Tom.
Mark is survived by his daughters Lacee (Luke) Steinberger of Harwood, ND and Kaila (Mason) Wilner of Argusville, ND and six grandchildren. He felt so blessed and was incredibly grateful for the love and care of his five siblings, particularly during his final months. His siblings include David (Peggy) Eblen of Fargo, ND, Kathleen Heising of Fargo, ND, Sister Patrice Eblen of Detroit Lakes, MN, Tom (Deb) Eblen of Hillsboro, ND and Cecilia (Ken) Cotton of Hillsboro, ND. Mark is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilbur and Irene Eblen, his brother Glenn Eblen and his sister Eileen Murdock.
