Martin Koehler, age 71, Fargo, passed away Tuesday, September 28, 2004, in his home. Martin Richard Koehler was born May 21, 1933, on the family farm near Perham, MN, the son of Bruno and Eva L. (Bujarski) Koehler. He grew up there and attended school. He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force, working as an aircraft mechanic and serving in Puerto Rico during the Korean War. Following his discharge, Martin moved to St. Paul, MN and worked as an aircraft mechanic for Northwest Aeronautical. He was united in marriage to Antoinette Chariton on September 7, 1957 in St. Paul. They lived there until moving to Perham in 1960. He drove a milk truck for New York Mills Creamery. They then moved to Minneapolis, MN, in 1962, where Martin drove bus for Twin Cities Lines and Zepher Bus Lines. After moving to Minnetonka, he drove a fuel truck for Dahlen Transport. In 1987, they moved to a farm in Grygla, MN. He drove truck for Sistad Trucking until his retirement in 1997. They recently moved to Fargo. Martin treasured his family. He also enjoyed woodworking, and building clocks and baby cradles. He is survived by his wife, Antoinette, Fargo; two sons, Brian (Zenida) of Andover, MN, and Doug (Sharon) of Jordan, MN; two daughters, Dawn (Jim) Larson of Harwood, ND, and Brenda Kukowski of Fargo; 15 grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren. He is also survived by one brother, Julius of St. Cloud, FL; and five sisters, Barbara (Orville) Holmquist of Maplewood, MN, Rose (Al) Winkels of Ottertail, MN, Ella Molter of San Jose, CA, Edna Provancha of Omaha, NE, and Irene Wright of Minneapolis. The funeral will be Saturday at 10 a.m. in St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, Moorhead. Visitation will be Friday from 6-8 p.m. in Boulger Funeral Home, Fargo, with a prayer service at 8 p.m. Visitation will also be held on Saturday from 9-10 a.m. in the church.
