Martin Julius Pfeifle - Fargo, North Dakota Martin passed away on October 30, 2005, at Manorcare Health Services in Fargo, at the age of 68. Martin was born on July 15, 1937, the son of Julius and Adele (Graff) Pfeifle, in Venturia, North Dakota. He grew up in this area, worked on the family farm, and received his education in Ashley, North Dakota. Martin proudly served his country in the United States Army receiving his basic training at Ft. Leonard Wood, Missouri. He spent time in Korea and was discharged in 1958. He returned to Fargo and worked in maintenance at St. Luke's Hospital. Martin was united in marriage to Barbara Madsen in Fargo. Martin spent some years in Minneapolis where he owned and operated a bar. Then he moved to Denver, Colorado, and started working in the carpentry, masonry, and construction industries. He continued in this line of work when he returned to Fargo in 1993 working independently as a handyman. He semi retired in 2002. Martin was a faithful member of the Church of God in Fargo. He developed and volunteered at the Food Pantry of his congregation and many other outreach and ministry aspects of the congregation . Martin is survived by his children, Michael, Mark, Janelle and Martin Jr.; six grandchildren; and his brothers and sisters, Viola (Eddie) Kline of West Fargo, North Dakota; Elmer (Eleanora) Pfeifle of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; LeRoy Pfeifle of Comanche, Iowa; Ervin (LaVon) Pfeifle of Fargo; Myron (Judy) Pfeifle of Bismarck, North Dakota; Alice (Dana Manue) Bender of Fredericks, South Dakota; Kenneth (Carlotta) Pfeifle of West Fargo; and several nieces and nephews. Martin was preceded in death by his parents.
