Mary Jandro, 73, passed away Saturday, October 11, 2003 at the Villa Maria Nursing Home. The funeral will be at the Church of the Nativity, Fargo on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. There will be a Prayer Service in the Church on Monday, October 13, 2003, at 6:30 p.m. Visitation will be in the Church from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Monday and one hour before the funeral on Tuesday. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery, Fargo. Mary Lois Wurm was born on December 6, 1929 to Hazel (McApline) and Martin Wurm in Maple Lake, MN. She was raised on the family farmstead. Mary attended Maple Lake High School, graduating in 1947. While attending high school, Mary worked at Maple Lake Telephone Company. After graduation Mary moved to Buffalo, MN working at Northwestern Bell Telephone Company. In the Fall of 1950 Mary moved to Minneapolis and worked as a receptionist at an accounting firm until 1953. On June 21, 1952 Mary married Bill (C. William Jandro). Their wedding was at St. Timothy?s Church, Maple Lake, MN. Before settling in Fargo they lived in Minneapolis, MN; Kansas City, MO; Cincinnati, OH; then back to Minnesota. Mary stayed with Northwestern Bell Telephone Company until shortly after moving to Fargo. What was most important to Mary was her family. She enjoyed every visit with her brothers and sisters. Mary has seven children, each very special to her. Most of all Mary cherished her fifteen grandchildren. Mary was a kind hearted and generous person who was strongly devoted to her faith. Mary is survived by her children, Joanne Jandro, Mark (Rhonda) Jandro, Mike (Lori) Jandro, Kathy (Ron) Saar, Mary (Dan) Duggan, Margi (Ryan) Clemenson, Liz (Dave) Coalwell. Her grandchildren, Katie Jandro; Jim, Stacey, Kyle, Kelsey Jandro; Sarah, Derek, Nicole Saar; Elliot, Maggie Duggan; Jillian Jandro and Crystal, Brittany, Ashley, Shawna Coalwell. Mary is also survived by her siblings, Grace Rassat, Sister Betty Wurm, Maxine (Len) Schaust, Eloise (Richard) Smith, Hazel (Allen) Decker, James (Marlene) Wurm, Arlene (Wayne) Jude, and her brother-in-law, John (Rita) Jandro. Mary is preceded in death by her loving husband of forty-nine years, Bill (C. William) Jandro, her parents, Hazel and Martin Wurm; and her siblings, Agnes Piram, Thomas, Timothy, and Roy Wurm Memorials may be made to Father Jack Davis?s mission, Chimbote, Peru.
