Mary Jeanne Holzman

Mary Jeanne Holzman, 81, passed away Friday, September 26 at Eventide Nursing Home in Moorhead, Mn. where she had been a resident for the past week. Her passing was peaceful with family and prayers. Mary Jeanne Holzman, known as Jeanne, was born May 10, 1922 in Fargo, ND. to Raymond and Mary Smith. She grew up in Fargo and attended Sacred Heart Academy and business school in Fargo. She served as legal stenographer for several Fargo banks and law firms including Northwestern Savings & Loan and the Boulger Law Firm, retiring from the Vogel Law Firm in 1983. Most of her life Jeanne was a member of St. Anthony?s in Fargo. Jeanne married Robert W. Holzman in 1947 and they made their home in Fargo. Widowed in 1970, Jeanne was a career woman who most enjoyed raising her family of 7 children, and their weekends, summers and annual family reunions at Ottertail Lake. Jeanne is survived by her seven children; Bobbie (Bob) McCauley, Kansas City Missouri; Sue Sybranda, Australia; Babette ( Jack) Hasbrouck, Fargo; Mike (Linda) Holzman, Anchorage, Alaska; David Holzman, Fargo; Michelle Stroube, Newport Beach, California; and Lisa (David) Walsh, Plymouth, Mn. ; seven grandchildren and her sister-in-law, Jordis Smith. Jeanne was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert in 1970; two brothers, Raymond and Hank and her Grandson Joe Miller. Visitation: Monday from 5-7 pm with a rosary at 7 pm at Boulger Funeral Home, Fargo and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the church.
