MaryLou Nistler Fargo, North Dakota MaryLou Nistler, age 78, of Fargo, passed away on Saturday, June 6, 2009 at her lake home on Lake Eunice near Detroit Lakes, MN MaryLou Nistler was born on January 4, 1931in Golva, North Dakota to Lillian (Cross) and Anton Kreitinger. She was the 4th of 5 children. She graduated from Golva High School in 1948. She graduated from Dickinson State University with an Elementary Associate Degree in 1950. Then, she taught 6th grade in Wibaux, Montana. In 1951, she taught first and second grade in Golva, North Dakota. In 1952, she became an accountant at Schulz Chevrolet in Beach, North Dakota. She married Steve Nistler August 3rd, 1955 in Golva, North Dakota. They moved to Fargo in 1957 when Steve began working for Northwest Airlines. She substituted at Holy Spirit School and worked for Jan Realty selling real estate. In July 1975 she began working for Northwestern Bell telephone from where she retired in May 1991. She was a lifetime member of Holy Spirit Church, was involved in the Ladies Circle and was a 4H leader. MaryLou loved talking on the phone, spending time at the lake and being surrounded by her children and grandchildren. Everyone knew they were welcome to visit and eat at the Nistlers. MaryLou is survived by her eight children and twenty grandchildren. Peggy (Steve) Lorz, Fargo; Mary (Louis) Romero Las Vegas, Nevada; Tony Nistler, Lake Park, Minnesota; Katie (Jim) Traynor, Fargo; Peter Nistler, Fargo; Paul (Bert) Nistler, Fargo; Theresa Nistler, Fargo Amy (Doug) Scott, Oak Park, Minnesota. Also surviving is one brother, Jack (Stan) Kreitinger, Three Forks, Montana. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister and two brothers, and her husband, Steve. Memorials are preferred to the Fargo Catholic School Network.
