Matthew Milbrett

matthew milbrett
Matthew J. Milbrett, 36, Isanti, MN., left this world, by natural causes on Wednesday, July 8, 2020 at his home. We as his family know Our Heavenly Father must have needed him, he just had to have.... because we truly cannot image Our Lord creating this heaviness in our hearts for no reason. We miss you so very much and always will!! Matthew was born February 1, 1984 in Waseca, MN. Matthew is the son of Lori (Slowinski) Lyson and Gerald Milbrett. Matthew attended elementary school in Janesville, MN and high school/graduation in Jamestown, ND. Matthew loved life, enjoyed people and was a hard worker. During high school he worked as a bus boy at the Depot Cafe. After graduation he worked in sales with Big Sky Meat and Omaha Choice throughout numerous states. Later he moved back to MN and onto sales for Catco Parts Service in Roseville, MN. He then took a break from the sales industry and worked at US Corrugated, Inc., along with taking on part time maintenance position at Fridley Terrace, he just needed that people interaction. Years later, he once again, needed to be in the sales industry, and lastly worked for GATR Truck Center in sales. As a child Matthew loved BMX, football, snowboarding and really anything to be outside. Adulthood hit and he became the karaoke singer, loved to dance, ride his Victory motorcycle “Blue Betty” and spend time with all his family and friends. He was that person everyone knew they could count on, if he could not help you, he would find someone that could. Matthew always found a way to make people smile. He also enjoyed hunting, shooting of his guns/target practice and so loved his animals. (Chance and Jasper are with their master again) Matthew never married but was a very proud and loving father of three children, Autumn Rose (3), Penelope and Lincoln (9 months). Survived by his mother, Lori (Slowinski) Lyson. His children, Siblings, Chastity (Jeff) Linnertz, Stephanie Knuttila, Nicole (Jason) Jordahl, Michael Milbrett and Mitchell Milbrett. Preceded in death by his father, Gerald Milbrett, grandfathers, Harold Milbrett, Charles Slowinski and Arvid Tollefson. Fly high and Proud and guide us as you always have, until we are together again. We love you!

  1. Thought & prayers to all of Matt’s during this difficult time. Hold on tight to all the awesome memories.

  2. Matt, you were fucking awesome! I appreciate everything. EVERYTHING. You were the definition of a true friend. Your love for my family, you were so damn good with my kids, will never be forgotten. I can’t believe it brother but that was God’s plans. Until we meet again brother. Rest in paradise.

  3. Deepest condolences to Matt’s family and friends. So very sad to hear this news. May he rest in peace.

  4. I met Matt “Milli” when we were door to door salesmen many years ago. Him and I actually drove his CRX down to Omaha and lived together for some time. I always loved the fact that he was maybe 5’4″ tall and had the confidence of a seven footer. We had too many good times together to count. The Twista Kamakazi album and Chingy Jackpot album will always be you, to me, my friend. I’ve been filled with terrible sadness after hearing that Milbrett has passed on. I want to give my sincere condolences to Milli’s family and friends. I am so sorry for your loss. There are no words to make anything better.

It’s all love, I’ll miss you homie. I’ll catch you on the flip side. Love Morris

  5. You were an amazing person when we had seen each other back in the day. I saw from your photos on Facebook that you seemed like you were doing alright for yourself. May you RIP matt and my deepest condolences go out to your family God bless.

  6. My deepest Sympathy to my dear friend Lori mother of Matthew. I can’t imagine her pain. Sending Love, Hugs and Prayers to her and her family. 🙏🙏🙏🙏

  7. I knew Matt from school, he was a great friend and a great guy..he had a hugh heart and a beautiful soul…my heart goes out to his family,

  8. Our hearts are broken and deeply saddened by the loss of Matt. We love you all and wish we could be there with you to share in the grief.

You were loved and will be missed Matt!

  9. Sending all my love and prayers for Matt and his family. I will forever be grateful for my years with him. Matt was by far the funniest person I’ve ever been blessed to be around and I will hold those memories in my heart forever ♥ sending hugs to the family!

  10. My thoughts and prayers are with all of those that were touched by Matt in his short life.

I will always remember the camping trip that the Bonanza family took to Spiritwood Lake one weekend. I’m almost positive this was the first time I met Matt. One of my best friends, Nathan, brought him along, he was a great addition to our great group of friends! I still have pictures from that weekend – his smile and amazing personality could make any situation 10x’s better!

I wish I was able to know you still after high school, the pictures and stories I’ve been reading show that you continued living your life as a great person and you kept spreading your spirit to everyone you met.

I’m hopeful the love you had for your children, friends and family will be shared, provided comfort and let your spirit and memories live on forever.

I always wonder why God takes such wonderful people so early. He must have needed an incredible person to be the guardian angel. I hope he sends signs so you all feel his presence when you need him there.

    Rest in peace Matt.

Hugs and all my love to those who held him near.

Nicole – my classmate – I’m only a message a way if you or anyone else needs anything.

  11. Monica Erickson is an idiot and Matt did not like her. She should leave the past alone after she destroyed all she could. Matt was a great guy.
