Matthew "Matto" Traynor

matthew
Matthew Thomas “Matto” Traynor, 25, of Fargo, passed away June 04, 2016, at Grace Lake in Bemidji, Minn., his favorite place on earth. Matthew was born Aug. 24, 1990, to Dr. Michael Donovan Traynor Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Traynor in Rochester, Minn. He lived in Grand Forks from 1991 to 1998. In 1998, he moved to Fargo, his permanent residence until his death. Matthew was named for two uncles, John Thomas Traynor Jr., his father’s brother, and Thomas Deere, his mother’s brother. Matthew had an unmatched love for the outdoors. An avid sportsman, he could always be found hunting or fishing with his friends or family. In particular, he enjoyed duck hunting and would even camp out early in the morning to stake his claim to a field shoot. He was passionate about golf and found ample opportunity to do so as both a member and employee of the Fargo Country Club. Matthew truly lived life to the fullest, and his charismatic personality will be missed by all the family and friends he left behind. Matthew was educated at Holy Family Catholic School in Grand Forks, and Nativity Elementary, Sullivan Middle School, Fargo Public Schools, Shanley High School, Bemidji State University, and Moorhead Technical College. He is survived by his paternal grandparents John T. “Jack” and Kathryn Jane Traynor of Devils Lake, ND; parents Dr. Mike and Mary Beth Traynor; his brothers, Dr. Michael D. Traynor Jr. (Antinea Ascione) and Timothy Lennon Traynor; his nephew, Michael Donovan Traynor III and his beloved dog, Finn of Fargo, ND. Matthew is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Louis C. and Mary Louise Deere of Kennedy, Minn. A vigil will be held at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, June 07 at Sts. Anne & Joachim Catholic Church, 5202 25th St. S., Fargo. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday June 08 at Sts. Anne & Joachim Catholic Church. Interment to follow. I appreciate your efforts & am thinking of you all! Thank you.

  123. My sympathy to everyone that was close to Matthew Traynor. I don’t him nor anyone that is related to him. It caught my attention how his life stopped at an early age. My brother passed away at an early age, which was heart breaking when I found out. I can emagine how the rest of the family must feel at this time, still since his death. I would like to share some swords of encouragement from our Heavenly Father. In the good book, Psalms 55:22 says “Throw your burden on Jehovah, And he will sustain you. Never will he allow the righteous one to fall”. What beautiful words from our creator!! He is wanting you to share with him your tremendous burden to help alleviate your suffering. Even though your in your lowest moment in life, He promises that he never let you fall. Pray to Jehovah, our Heavenly Father and keep these word close for comfort. Again, my deepest sympathy for your loss.

  124. Dear family of Matt, I am deeply sorry for your loss. I met Matt in Cando where I worked with him and also in Bismarck. He was a great guy. Where ever he was he always had a smile and a great personality. I remember he always wanted to go fishing and I never got the chance to go with him. He will be missed by all. Matt helped me in my journey of life and made a difference in my life when my life was difficult. Until we meet again pal,.
    Sincerely,
    Brady Phelps
