Maxine Muller Hillsboro, North Dakota Maxine passed away on October 6, 2008 at MeritCare Hospital in Fargo at the age of 82 surrounded by her loving family. Maxine Fay Mary Kozojed was born on August 17, 1926 in Hillsboro, ND, the daughter of William and Mary (Kritzberger) Kozojed. She grew up in this area and graduated from Hillsboro High School. Maxine was united in marriage to Leonard Muller on November 13, 1947 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Hillsboro. They made their home on the family farm near Hillsboro where they raised their family and farmed for many years. Maxine was a life long member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church where she was active in the Christian Mothers and also the church choir. She loved her days on the farm where she drove her mower, tended her gardens, listened to her favorite music, read novels, and baked for family and the men working on the farm. Maxine and Leonard enjoyed their times of travel during retirement years. She had a great love for all of her family and cherished the holidays and family get-togethers. Maxine had a warm heart, a great smile and loved to laugh. Maxine is survived by her husband, Leonard of Hillsboro; Cheryl (Mitch) Guss of Willow City, ND; LaRon (Bryce) Risser of Battle Lake, MN; Pat (Brenda) Muller of Hillsboro; 7 grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren. Maxine is also survived by her sister, Lois Kozojed of Grand Forks, ND; and her brother, Walter (LaVonne) Kozojed of Hillsboro. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her parents in law, Alvin and Agnes Muller.
