  1. Dearest Cooksey family! I am so sad to here about your mom. She always enjoyed getting to know my kids and I think all kids that you welcomed in your home. Your friends were her friends. Such a special mom, such a special person. We are so sorry for you loss. Hugs from Miranda and xo from the Kruse-Bunnells.

  2. I worked with Melissa at both Divine House and Heartland. She was an amazing woman who adored her kids. She talked about them all the time, along with her sister Katie. The last time I visited with her was about a month ago…and she couldn’t have been happier. What a loss for everyone that knew her. She will be missed dearly!

  3. Brian and Jackie,
I am so sorry to hear about your Mom. She was a beautiful soul, I feel blessed to have known her. We spent many nights together sitting at baseball games watching our boys play. Always remember she loved you both so much. She will never leave our hearts!

  4. Cooksey family,

I only knew Melissa a few months when she came back to work at Heartland. She was a very sweet person and caring to the consumers she worked with. There were days she made us laugh and she talked about her kids and sister often. She will be missed just wish i had the opportunity to know her longer…RIP Melissa you will be missed by all

  5. Dear Cooksey family,
I did not have the pleasure to meet Melissa, however, I have had the pleasure of knowing her daughter-in-law Lyndsey & son Brian. My prayers are with each of you, that you may find comfort in this difficult time and loss of a loved one that is irreplaceable. May your heart be filled each time you remember your time with her.

    My sympathy,
    Misti Kern & family
