Michael Raymond Flieth, age 58, of Fargo, died peacefully surrounded by his family at Essentia Hospital in Fargo, North Dakota on Wednesday, October 3rd, 2012.

Mike was born on April 29, 1954 in Portsmouth, VA to Thomas and Inez (Lien) Flieth and due to his father’s naval career, Mike lived in many different states until settling in Fargo where he graduated from South High School in 1972.  After his graduation he started his career with various sign companies and had a love for neon and arts.

Mike was united in marriage to Deb Jahner on May 15, 1976 at St. Anthony’s, Fargo.  From this union they had three sons.

Mike’s hobbies included watching NASCAR and frequently attending Red River Valley Speedway races.  Mike’s most favorite times were attending his sons’ football games and being a grandfather to his three beautiful granddaughters.

Mike is survived by his mother, Inez; his brother, Tom (Kathy) and their son, Tony; his oldest son, Jason (Stacey) and their daughters, Haddie and Hallee; his middle son, Benjamin (Brittany) and their daughter, Peighton, and his youngest son, Christopher; and Mike’s special friend, Val and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas; brother, Wayne; and grandparents.
