Michael McPherson

Michael D. McPherson, age 66 of Fargo, died, October 10, 2017 at home surrounded by family. He was born on August 2, 1951, the son of Dale Sheets and Phyllis Elaine Jessick in Omaha, NE. Michael is a veteran of the Vietnam war where he earned several medals including the bronze star, Army commendation medal, Vietnam Service Medal and Korean Defense Service Medal. Michael was united in marriage to Renee Sauvageau in 1974 and later divorced in 2005. Michael worked for Alloway Industries for several years and later joined Northern Plains Steele as a Laser Technician and welder where he retired in 2011. He enjoyed bowling, fishing, camping, and traveling. Michael is survived by his girlfriend, Linda Steidl of Fargo, ND; his children Eric McPherson, Shelly, MN, Sheila Carter, Fargo, ND, Ryan McPherson, Fallon, NV; his mother, Phyllis (Leroy) Rockford; his brother, David (Betty) McPherson, Little Rock, AR; his sister, Connie Plumb of Benton, AR; his grandchildren Austin and Jayden Carter, Ty, Miles and Edward McPherson; nieces and nephews. Michael is preceded in death by his father, Dale Sheets, and his step-father, Sam McPherson. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, October 14 at Boulger Funeral Home and Celebration of Life Center in Fargo, ND. Burial will take place at Holy Cross North Cemetery in Fargo.
