Michael Ruble

Michael J. "Barney" Ruble, 47 of Walcott, ND died Tuesday, August 12, 2008 at the Palliative Care Unit of MeritCare Hospital in Fargo. Michael was born on October 5, 1960 in Fargo to Richard and Mary (Dix) Ruble. He grew up in Kindred and was confirmed at Walcott Lutheran Church. He graduated from Kindred High School and attended NDSU. Michael owned his own sporting goods store in Michigan and also worked as an owner/operator driving his own truck. Michael loved fishing and hunting and enjoyed all sports. He coordinated the 4th of July fireworks display in Walcott for the past 4 years. He was preceded in death by his nephew, Tony Hamner. Michael is survived by his parents, Richard and Mary Ruble of Kindred; sisters, Vicki Martin of West Fargo, Dawn (Harold) Brewer of Middletown, OH, Michelle (Kenny) Wilson of West Fargo; nieces and nephews, Judith (Paul) Opdahl, Charles (Stacy) Martin, Alexis (Bryan) Irvine, Christopher Nicholi, Brandon Partlow, Josh Partlow, Brittany Wilson and special friend and honorary brother, Bob Walker of Walcott. Visitation: Friday, August 15 from 4-7 pm at Boulger Funeral Home, Fargo and one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. Prayer Service: Friday at 7:00 pm at Boulger Funeral Home. Funeral Service: Saturday, August 16 at 11:00 am at Trinity Lutheran Church, Christian Life Center, Moorhead. Final Resting Place: Riverside Cemetery, Fargo.
