Mildred L. Helgeson

Helgeson, Mildred L., age 100 of Fargo, died Friday, December 26 at Bethany Homes in Fargo. Mildred Radebaugh was born on August 28, 1903 in Green County, Iowa to Charles and Margaret Radebaugh. She married Hilmer C. Helgeson on June 23, 1925 at Bohnsack Township, Traill County, North Dakota. She taught school in Dunn County, North Dakota, then moved with her husband to various locations in eastern North Dakota, finally residing in Fargo where they lived for the remainder of their lives. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hilmer, daughter and son-in-law, Betty (Mayo) Kucera and three brothers, Greer, Arnold and Dale Radebaugh. She is survived by her children, Shirley (Kenneth, deceased) Hoffert of Ottertail, MN and Dr. Norman (Leticia) Helgeson of Pacific Palisades, CA; 11 grandchildren and step-grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren; and sisters, Irene (Roger, deceased) Foster of Fargo, Doris (Byron, deceased) Murdock of Gresham, OR, Florence (Morris, deceased) Thompson of Hillsboro, ND and Eunice (Norman) Behlmer of Detroit Lakes, MN. Memorials are preferred to Bethany Homes or Hospice of the Red River Valley. Visitation: Sunday from 3-5 pm in Boulger Funeral Home, Fargo and one hour prior to the service in the church. Funeral: Monday, December 29 at 2:00 pm in First Presbyterian Church, Fargo.
