Mildred ?Millie? Halvorson, 80, Glyndon, MN, died Friday, May 30, 2003, at her home in Glyndon. Millie Sturm was born to John and Lena Sturm on November 5, 1922, in Broton, MN. She grew up in the St. Cloud, MN, area, and attended school in Belgrade, MN. She married Norbert ?Nubs? Flint on July 1, 1941, at Roscoe, MN. They came to Moorhead, MN, in 1941, and she has lived the Moorhead and Glyndon areas most of her life. Nubs and Millie operated a resort/night club named Pike?s Bay, along with partners Charles and Alma Hangaard, from 1963-1970. Nubs passed away in 1967. She married Ludwig ?Lud? Halvorson in 1971 in Moorhead. They resided in Glyndon. He passed away in 1992. Millie operated the lunch counter at Cass County Courthouse for a number of years. She retired from the courthouse in 1993. She also operated a flea market in Glyndon for seven years. She is survived by three children, LeRoy Flint, Colorado, Judith (Judi) Byers, Fargo, ND, and Douglas Flint, Glyndon; two brothers, Vince Sturm (Veya), St. Cloud, MN, and Raymond (Eleanor) Sturm, Minneapolis, MN; two sisters, Cindars Blonker, Royalton, MN, and Rita (Fritz) Ertl, Waite Park, MN; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. in St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, Dilworth. A prayer service will be held Monday at 7:00 p.m. in Boulger Funeral Home, Fargo.
