Nicholas Richard, Riverview Place, Fargo, ND, age 81, died Wednesday, February 8, 2006 in his home. Nick Richard was born November 14, 1924 at Wild Rice, ND where he grew up on his parents farm He attended St. Joseph?s Academy at St. Benedict?s Church. He entered the Army in 1945 and served in the Pacific during World War II. After returning home, he farmed until 1947 when he moved to Fargo. Nick and Yvette Duval were married in St. Benedict?s Catholic Church on June 21, 1948. They moved to Bemidji, MN where he worked for Bemidji Distributing until retiring in 1989. They returned to West Fargo at that time. He was preceded in death by his wife in July 2005. Nick will be best remembered by his family for the time they spent together on vacations at the lakes, camping trips and attending his children?s sporting events. Nick and his wife spent many of their retirement years wintering with friends in Texas and visiting their children and grandchildren. They spent their last three years at Riverview Place where they enjoyed socializing with their friends and family, playing cards and attending daily Mass. Nick will be missed for his fun sense of humor and ability to make others smile. He is survived by his children; Rosalie (Richard) Elizondo, Elk River, MN Clarence (Terry) Richard, Minnetonka, MN Mary (Eric) Tolf, Whitehall, MT Elaine Richard, Fargo,ND Janet (Kerry) Jaeger, Grand Forks, ND Shirley (Craig) Kulla, West Fargo,ND Charles (Kristen) Richard, West Fargo, ND Arlene (Mark) Wilken, West Fargo, ND Thomas (Kathy) Richard, Eagan, MN 23 grandchildren;1 great grandchild; and his brother, Adrian, Fargo, ND Visitation: Sunday, February 12, 2006 5-7 p.m. Riverview Place Chapel, Fargo, ND Prayer Service: Sunday 7 p.m. ?
