Norah Beck

Norah Jane Beck, 78, Bethany Towers, Fargo, passed away on May 7, 2004 under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley. Norah Jane Tollefson was born to Ole and Laura (Johnson) Tollefson on October 10, 1925 at Grygla, Minnesota. She grew up there and finished school in Beltrami County, Minnesota. Norah Jane Tollefson and Alvin Bakken were married September 3, 1949. Norah and David Beck were married on June 7, 1971. He preceded her in death in 1993. Norah loved crocheting and quilting. She was a member of the Hefta Post of the Portland, ND, American Legion Auxiliary and the Circles at Aurdal Lutheran Church, Portland, North Dakota She is survived by her Children Kathy (Bakken) Handy, Park Rapids, MN Wayne Bakken, Jamestown, ND Gary (Connie)Bakken, Wheatland, ND Randy (Deb) Bakken, Dubuque, Iowa Carol (Mark) (Bakken) Mitchell, Davenport, ND Jennifer (John) (Beck) Bolgrean, Fargo, ND Jeff (Mandy) Beck , Minot, ND Brother Raymond Tollefson, Warren, MN 13 Grandchildren 1 Great Grandchild She was preceded in death by her 4 sisters, 1 brother, and 2 grandchildren Funeral 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Aurdal Lutheran Church, Portland, ND Prayer Service 1:00 p.m. Monday, Mavis Whiting Chapel Bethany Homes Visitation 1 hour before the prayer service at Bethany and 1 hour before the funeral at Aurdal Burial Aurdal Lutheran Cemetery, Portland, ND arrangements by Boulger Funeral Home, Fargo
