Norma Iverson

Norma M. Iverson, 82, of Fargo, ND, formerly of Kindred, ND died Monday, April 12, 2004 at MeritCare Hospital, Fargo, ND. Norma was born in Kindred on May 14, 1921 to Nelius and Marie (Olson) Iverson. She was baptized and confirmed in the Gol Lutheran Church in Kindred, ND. She graduated from Kindred High School and then from St. Luke?s School of Nursing in 1942. She was employed as a Registered Nurse at St. Luke?s Hospital from 1942 to 1947. She was then employed at the Evanston Hospital, Evanston, IL from 1947 to 1954. She returned to St. Luke?s and worked as a head nurse in the Recovery Room for 27 years. She retired in 1982. She was a member of First Lutheran Church and active in it?s Rhoda Circle and Altar Guild. She was also a member of St. Luke?s Retired Employees and St. Luke?s Alumni Association. She is survived by a sister, Katherine Iverson and a brother, Ole (Joyce) Iverson, 4 nieces and 4 nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Bergliot Mills. Funeral will be held 1:00 on Thursday, April 15, 2004 at First Lutheran Church, Fargo, ND with burial following at Gol Lutheran Cemetery, rural Kindred, ND. Prayer Service at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, April 14, 2004 at Boulger Funeral Home, 123 10th Street South, Fargo, ND. Visitation will be from 5 pm to 7pm on Wednesday, April 14, 2004 at Boulger Funeral Home, and one hour prior to the service at First Lutheran Church, Fargo, ND.
