norma korst

Norma C. Korst passed away Thursday, June 2, 2011 at Villa Maria Nursing Home. Norma was born on January 1, 1917 near Columbus, North Dakota and grew up and attended school at Portal, North Dakota. In 1940, she married Albert Korst and lived at Kenmare, North Dakota where Mr. Korst worked for the Soo Line Railroad. After Mr. Korst's death in 1969 she moved to Fargo where she worked for 11 years as a Residence Director at St. Luke's School of Nursing. After her retirement she lived at the 400 Apartments in downtown Fargo. Most recently she lived at Good Samaritan and Villa Maria in Fargo.

Norma was a kind soul and everyone who knew her talked about her wonderful smile. In her leisure time you'd see her with a puzzle or crossword book in her hands. Her family and friends will miss her and remember her with love and happy memories.

She is survived by her children, Albert of North Port, Florida and William of Peyton, Colorado; seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family's wish is to have donations made to Hospice of the Red River Valley, 1701 38th St. S., Suite 101, Fargo, North Dakota 58103-4499.

    Al and Bill and families:

So sorry to hear of Norma’s passing and my thoughts and prayers are with you both and your familes.
I worked with Norma at the Good Sam and we had alot of good visits and I thoroughly enjoyed her–she was so kind and thoughtful. She was a very “special” lady and was so proud of her boys-and she looked so forward to a phone call every Sunday 7pm.
Take care and God Bless you all!
