Olga passed away on August 29, 2013 at Bethany Retirement Living in Fargo at the age of 98.
Olga M. (Jordheim) Lee was born September 14, 1914 in McLeod, ND on her parent’s farm. She grew up on her parent’s farm near McLeod and attended country school.
Olga married Marcus on December 18, 1935 in Kindred, ND. They made their home 6 miles south of Kindred. Shortly after the death of Marcus, she moved to Kindred.
She enjoyed playing cards, the accordion, bingo, and dancing. She was an active member of Kindred Lutheran. She was known for her great lefse.
She is survived by children, Jerry (Gerry), Bismarck, ND, Roger, Harwood, ND, Erlin, Audubon, MN, Karen (Ken) Kemp, Oakdale, MN, Jerome (Connie) Lee, Fargo, Maynard (Paula) Casselton, ND; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Marcus, who died in 1999, son, Maynard, who died when he was 12 years old, 4 sisters, 1 brother, 1 daughter-in-law, and 5 great-grandchildren.

Great Grandma Olga, I will sorely miss your charm and your ability to always make us laugh. I have so many fond memories of us dating back from Horace. I remember how you always would ask me about girlfriends and your surprise when there was never any girlfriend to speak of. I think you offered to take me out on a date a few times. I remember playing bingo with you and how you asked me to watch your five (5) cards for you because you were concerned that you had missed a number. Or that somebody else may have been cheating. I remember your driving behind us in your truck and not stopping for any traffic signs. I remember dancing with you at random family occasions and how kind you were when your toes got stepped on.

Everett WashingtonI’am a grandson who was not lucky enough to see her in person very often. I was young growing up living in a different state. I did grow up. Started calling her for her birthdays and Christmas’s, sending pictures. Enjoyed the phones call as she loved to talk and talk some more just about everything.

frequent trips to Fargo.After my dad(Joe)
died Olga was the last of the uncles and
aunts for all the Lee’s.
In reading the guest book I agree with all
the comments. Olga was a fun person,
feisty and always brought out laughs. Sorry
I never heard her play the accordion.
After moving to the West Coast we made
frequent trips to Kindred and we always
loved our visits to the farm, her place in
Kindred and later at Bethany.
Life goes on and she will be missed.

Great Grandma Olga, you will be missed. It is sad to see you go but to a better place you have gone. There are a lot of memories I have of you and will cherish the rest of my life. How you loved playing card games, especially rummy. And boy did you hate to lose. Or how there was no censoring your mouth. If you wanted to say something, you said it. No matter what, you didn’t care what anyone else thought. I think my mom got this from you, haha. And you were damn funny too. Funniest Norwegian I know. And the best accordion player I ever heard. I will miss you Grandma Olga and love you always and I will see you again one day.

Grandma, there is no one that can top you. Everyone you came in contact with, you left an impression on and they will never forget you. They will remember the feisty person that you were and how you could make everyone laugh all around you and the joy you brought to all of us. When we were little we could not wait to see you come over and all the times we would go out to the farm and stay. Those were the days and we all had such fun times and we will treasure all those memories forever. You are now with Grandpa and all your loved ones that are no longer with us and you will watch over all of us along with them and until we meet again I love you so very much Grandma and you will forever be in my heart!!!
