Patricia Bailey Stuhr

Patricia E. Bailey Stuhr, 66, Barnesville, passed away Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at her home surrounded by her family.

Patti was born November 5, 1946 in Bismarck, ND to Clifford and Katherine (Wohkittel) Bailey. She graduated from Bismarck High School before attending and graduating from Electrolysis School in Phoenix, AZ. She worked for Moorhead High School with students who had disabilities before starting her own business, Electrolysis by Patti.

Work was one of Patti’s passions. It allowed her to connect with people. Her clients became part of her family. She was a beautiful person with a great heart that had a special place in it for everyone in her life.

Patti married Gerald Stuhr in April of 2000. Jerry was Patti’s best friend and became her loving care-giver. Jerry made Patti’s dream come true when he bought a motor home and the two of them traveled together last winter. They traveled many states together visiting many family and friends across the miles.

Patti was a Christian woman, a believer, caring, non-judgmental, loving, comforting and supportive to all. Patti took pride in caring for her parents. Patti’s family, especially her grandchildren, were her “life”. The joy they brought to her kept her spirits high.

Patti will live on in every person she has touched throughout her life and will be forever missed by all who were blessed to have known her.

Patti is survived by her loving husband Jerry, Barnesville, MN; children, Steve (Mary) Selzler, Bismarck, ND, Danny (Sara) Selzler, Moorhead, MN, grandchildren, Zachary, Lexi, Sarah, Isabelle, Dylan, Olivia, Madison and John; brother, Mike (Vicki) Bailey, Bismarck, ND; sisters, Rena (Pete) Teyssedre, Seattle, WA and Linda (Wally) Jacobson, Tucson, AZ and many special nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and infant son, Michael.

Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. Fargo ND
When Patti assisted students in the Moorhead High School special needs program, she showed such care and concern for her students and others. Patti was so much fun and had a playful nature that made it so great to be around her. She made the world a better place for all she came into contact with.
Patti gave us wonderful memories. Sympathy is extended to her family.

  2. Fargo ND
I knew Patty when I went to her and she was kind and gentle when she was removing facial hair. She was gifted in kindness and she was well loved by her clients. Patty was taken too soon and I was glad she had her last year traveling.

  3. Carlsbad NMI am deeply saddened by Patti’s death as I had planned to visit with her this week. I had met Patti when I was a child, but just recently have reconnected through Facebook. We were going to catch up on family ancestry and other things. Just by my knowing her through our messages, she was obviously a precious and genuine lady. I loved her positive attitude even through her suffering. She touched my life in a large way in a short span of time. I wish I had gotten to know her sooner. She was a truly blessed child of God.

  4. Pelican Rapids MN
I was a client of Patti’s for several years and had great respect and appreciation for her. She had a way of making one feel so good after and appointment. God Bless the memory of Patti and sympathies to Jerry and Patti’s family.

  5. Humble TXMy deepest sympathies to Patti’s family. I knew Patti back in the mid 60’s while we were attending BJC. We had some fun times together, she had a positive attitude and her glass was always half full. My memories are of joy and laughter. May God give you comfort during this time of sorrow.

  6. Dickinson ND
Patti leaves a legacy of love and faith. Patti truly “fought the fight, finished the race, and kept the faith.” I will miss my dear cousin who was more like a sister, that a cousin.

  7. Las Vegas NVAlthough, in the end, we all get our turn at dying, it seems few leave this earth with the memory of a life lived like Patti did. A life lived with great passion and deep faith.
She was compassionate and had a will that would move mountains. Patti was a vivid story teller, the family historian and a wonderful cook. She was my cousin. Most of all, she was my friend. I just loved this woman. I will miss her dearly.
