patrick sweeney

In loving memory of Patrick Sweeney, 48, who fought cancer for a 1 1/2 years before it took his life on September 25th, 2013 at his home surrounded by the love, prayers and presence of his wife, family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Nela, mother, Madonna, brothers Gregory (Toni), Boise ID, Timothy (Kimberly), Richard (fiance, Pamela Grover), Fargo, ND, sister, Anne Blake, Dilworth, MN and brothers, John (Leslie), Fargo, ND and Joseph (Kimberly), Reiles Acres, ND and many nieces and nephews.

He loved to hunt and fish, watch Nascar with his brothers, scuba dive, go to Moondance Jam and spend time at the lake.  Everyone who knew Patrick was touched by him.

He has joined his father, Donald, and little buddy Sherman in eternal life.

Patrick loved his country and the opportunities it provided, he was a true patriot."

  2. Lake Park MN
I just moved back in the area after being gone for almost 20 years. I have been slowly trying to find old friends and reconnect. I am saddened at the loss of a great friend and person, and that I never got to see him again.
I have great memories of Pat when we were younger and the great 18th birtday party he and a few others through for me. I will miss you a great deal Pat, but am glad to know you are in a pain free place. My heart goes out to your loved ones and friends.

  4. I “met” Patrick online a few years ago on the Moondance G-Fam message page….and this year at Moondance I got to meet him in person. He seemed like he stayed upbeat and positive and he was sure happy to be able to make it to Moondance this past summer.I’m so sorry for your loss

  5. Canutillo TexasEvery now and then, over the years, I have thought of all the good times I shared with the Sweeney Family with fondness. Running around their block playing kick the can or going down to the lakes with them and stopping at Tastee Freeze for a cone. I was probably closest with Tim and Pat because of our ages. We had many great times and Pat was right in the middle of all of that. I’m sorry we haven’t got together for so many years and very sad I was not able to talk with Pat any time recently. Rest in peace my friend. Love and support for you Tim and the rest of the Family. Contact me any time you can.
