Paul Mikkel Anderson, 44, Hillsboro, chose to leave this world Friday, April 3, 2009. Paul was born April 29, 1964 at Mayville, ND. He was baptized and confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran, Buxton, and graduated from Mayville-Portland High School in 1982. He received his A. A. degree in Agriculture and his commercial pilot?s license from the University of Minnesota-Crookston. He returned to Mayville State and earned an A.A. in Business. Paul married Jill Johnston at Warren, MN August 31, 1985. They had two children, Mikkel, 18, and Katie, 14. He farmed with his father for three years while working at the Hillsboro Crystal Sugar beet plant. Paul served as a policeman and chief deputy sheriff for Hillsboro, West Fargo, and Traill County from 1993-2005 when he sadly had to take medical disability. Paul and Jill were divorced October 2005. Paul married Linda Bowen September 23, 2006 in a cowboy-themed wedding at Hillsboro City Park. Paul?s passions in life were his wife, Linda, his children, being a part of the law enforcement and fire-fighting communities, cowboy shoots (Prairie Rose Games state champion), singing, playing the guitar and harmonica, playing trivial pursuit, the Pittsburgh Steelers, moderating internet forums, and reading, especially mystery novels and history topics. He leaves behind his wife, Linda; his children, Mikkel and Katie Anderson, both of Hillsboro; his parents, Keith and Ann Anderson, Mayville; sisters Greta Kyllo (fianc?e Perry Paschke), Mayville, Merry (Doug) Gleason, Mayville, and Jennifer (Bruce) Otteson, Buxton; and nieces and nephews Leah, Tom, and Ronnie Kyllo, Austin Anderson, and Kayla and Brady Otteson. VISITATION: 4-7 PM Thursday, April 9, 2009 at Our Savior?s Lutheran Church in Hillsboro ? and also one hour prior to the service in the church on Friday PRAYER SEVICE: 7 PM Thursday at Our Savior?s Lutheran Church FUNERAL SERVICE: 11 AM Friday, April 10, 2009 at Our Savior?s Lutheran Church in Hillsboro BURIAL: Immanuel Cemetery near Buxton, ND Arrangements entrusted to the care of Wildeman Funeral Home in Hillsboro.
