Paul Dahmus

Paul J. Dahmus, 71, of Fargo, ND, died on Sunday, February 24, 2008 in his home surrounded by family. Paul was born on February 28, 1936 in Nobel, Arkansas to Rudolph and Catherine (Engel) Dahmus. When he was 5 years old they moved to the Regent, ND area. He graduated from St. Mary?s Catholic School in New England, ND. He enlisted in the Navy on January 7, 1955 and spent most of his service time in Florida. He was discharged honorably on January 6, 1959. He married Shirley A. Rambousek on December 30, 1959 at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in New Hradec, ND. They moved to Dickinson, ND where he graduated from Dickinson State College with a degree in 1966. He worked for a local communication company that transferred him to Fargo, ND in 1969. He continued working for them until his retirement in 1993. He has been a longtime member of St. Mary?s Cathedral. Paul is survived by: wife: Shirley, children: Faye Brunelle (Richard) Fargo, ND, Terry Dahmus, Fargo, ND; grandchildren: James, Jake, and Tianna Dahmus, Fargo, ND; siblings: Alfred Dahmus (Sharon), Dickinson, ND, Mary (Sr. Grace) Dahmus, Bismarck, ND, Rita Christina, Phoenix, AZ, Agnes Haas (David) Dickinson, ND, Henry Dahmus (Bonnie) New England, ND, and Joe Dahmus, Dickinson, ND. Preceded in death by his grandson; parents; and a sister. VISITATION: 5-7 pm Thursday, February 28, 2008 in Boulger Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service in the church. PRAYER SERVICE: 7 pm Thursday, February 28, 2008 in Boulger Funeral Home. FUNERAL MASS: 12 pm Friday, February 29, 2008 in St. Mary?s Cathedral. INTERMENT: Holy Cross North Cemetery.
