Peter Larson, 81, Fargo, ND formerly of rural Abercrombie, ND passed away on Thursday, May 19, 2016 at Essentia Health in Fargo. He was born on March 20, 1935 in Fargo, ND to Bernard and Mary Larson. He grew up on a farm outside of Abercrombie and graduated from Abercrombie High School. On December 7, 1957 Pete was united in marriage to Judy Jacobson at Walcott Lutheran Church. The couple made their home in Walcott where they raised their children before moving to Pete’s family homestead in rural Abercrombie. Judy and Pete retired to Fargo. Pete was owner and operator of Larson Trenching Service in Walcott for 35 years until his retirement. He was a very hard worker at his business as well as at home. Pete was very proud of his family and cherished the time he spent with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He loved his farm and having family and friends over for many events. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Judy; children, Karen (Al) Anderson, Julie (Robert) Krause, Rebecca (Chris) Aanerud, Connie (Bryan) Luedy, John (Jennifer) Larson, and Liz (Mike) Lynch; sisters, Kathleen (Willard) Norstebon, Joyce Bjordahl, Shirley (Lee) Krump; grandchildren, Rachel (Ryan) Beste, Alex (Rachael) Anderson, Katherine, Bobbie, and Lily Krause, Jacob (Kimberly) Aanerud, Timothy (Ashleigh) Aanerud, Emma Aanerud, Elena Luedy, Janie, Jules, and Jack Larson, Finnegan and Sullivan Lynch; and great-grandchildren, Philippa and Beckett Beste, Lauren Anderson, Harley Aanerud, Bridger and Lyla Aanerud. He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Delores Johnson. There will be a visitation from 5-7:00 PM on Monday, May 23, 2016 at Boulger Funeral Home and Celebration of Life Center, Fargo. The memorial service will be at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Abercrombie, with a visitation one hour prior.
