Obituary

Raymond M. Ogaard, 74, Fargo, ND died Saturday, November 25, 2006 in the V.A. Medical Center, Fargo, ND.

Raymond Marvin Ogaard the son of Louis & Victoria (Derosier) Ogaard) was born October 8, 1932 in Crookston, MN. Raymond grew up in Crookston and graduated from Crookston High School. Raymond served in the Army from 1953-1955 during the Korean War. Raymond married Shirley St. Michael in Crookston June 10, 1953, while he was in the service. After Mr. Ogaard=s discharge from the service, the couple returned to Crookston.

Raymond began working for Old Dutch as a salesman in Crookston. In 1968 the couple moved to Minot where he became District Manager for Old Dutch. He transferred to Fargo in 1990 and retired in 1996. After retiring he worked for the Fargo Park District at El Zagal Golf Course for a few years. Raymond enjoyed fishing and golfing.

He was preceded in death by his wife Shirley in 2003, his sisters, Luella and Lucille, and a great granddaughter, Leslie Beth Ogaard.

He is survived by his children, Howard (Donna), Alexandria, MN, Lynn Marie (Lynn) Bertsch, Minot, ND, Kevin (Jennifer), Carol Stream IL, Kim Ogaard-Bolin, Fargo, ND, Jeff (Irene) Bremerton, WA, and Alison (Bryan) Schmidt, Horace, ND; a brother, Vern (Yvonne) Ogaard, Crookston, MN and a sister; Vivian (Harvey) Arel, Crookston, MN; 15 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

Visitation: Thursday from 6 until 7:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 in the Boulger Funeral Home. Visitation will also be held in the church on hour prior to the service on Friday.

Funeral Mass: 10:30 Friday at Sts. Ann and Joachim Catholic Church, Fargo, ND

Burial: Holy Cross North Cemetery, Fargo, ND
