Richard Martell

Richard L. Martell, 57, 405 South University Drive, Fargo, died on Thursday, April 10, 2003, in Hennepin County Medical Center, Minneapolis, as a result of a fire in his home. Richard was born September 28, 1945, at Belcourt, ND. He grew up at Drake, ND, and West Fargo, ND. The family moved to Wild Rice, ND, in 1950. He attended school at Wild Rice and Fargo. Richard attended Hanson Mechanical School in Fargo, and worked for area auto repair dealers. He married Mary Eileen Harper in November 1965. They were divorced in September 1969. He married Marilynn Olson in September of 1974. They later divorced. Richard was disabled for many years. He had assisted his sister, Alice, to promote services and programs for the disabled and their families. He is survived by two daughters, Debbie Dixon (John), Glendale, WI, and Sherri Fermanich (Barry), Middleton, WI; his mother, Helen Hill; a sister, Alice Hill both of Fargo; and five grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in St. Benedict?s Catholic Church, Wild Rice, ND. Visitation will be 1-8 p.m. Tuesday in Boulger Funeral Home, Fargo, with a prayer service at 8 p.m. Burial will be in St. Benedict?s Cemetery, Wild Rice. Arrangements by Boulger Funeral Home, Fargo.
